Best Board to mount E8400 on plz

Thread Starter
Hi guys

Some quick pointers plz. Heading to US and going to bring new bits home (Weak Dollar FTW). Anyway have decided on the E8400 as still not many advantages of Quad in gaming right now.

I know the opinion was that the 780i boards werent that great when compare to the P45s etc. Now the 750i has been luanched are they any better or is P45 still the way to go. I hope to OC to around 4Ghz mark on Air with this so a decent clockable friendly board plz. Do i need to look at the x38/x48 of this world or is the P45 still the best bag for buck. SLI or Crossfire dosnt concern me however there will be a GTX280 in there.

Any tips as always welcome - Cheers in Advance

If SLI and Crossfire don't concern you, then get a DFI Dark P35 board. It got mine to 4.2 GHz, and my batch isn't exactly the greatest (though obviously fairly good). For single-card configurations, and users looking for the maximum OC, I believe it's the best board to have.

As far as OC'ing goes, this is a great board.

I would highly recommend it for overclocking and will push the E8400 to 4GHZ no problem if you get a good chip.

Keep in mind this is only a single card board, so with one GTX280 you should be golden, but if you looking into Multi GPU boards this is an awesome choice.
