Overclocking the Phenom 9500 - Page 2

Hi shibbiness

Here is my setting

CPU CLOCK RATIO - [x11]
MEMORY CONTROLLER FREQ - [x7] 1820 mhz
CPU FREQUENCY [260]
PCIE Clock [AUTO]
HT LINK FREQUENCY [1.4 Ghz] 1820 mhz (Means HT multiplier at x7)
MEMORY CLOCK [x3.33] 866 mhz

---VOLTAGES---
CPU VOLTAGE - 1.46v [+0.175]
DDR2 Voltage - 2.26v [+0.350]
SOUTHBRIDGE - [+0.075]
NORTHBRIDEGE VCORE [+0.075]

Memory is running in Ganged mode and advanced memory settings are left auto.

But i would not recommend you to push the Reference clock to 260. At the beginning set it somewhere near 230 and leave all the voltages to auto and run stability test. Then increase +5 and do a stability test. At some point you will find out that system is not stable at stock voltages. That is where you start to play with voltages.

EDIT: Before you start OCing disable coolNquiet in the bios

Looking forward to see how ur OC goes. I'll try to push mine towards 3.0 ghz during the weekends if at all possible. I am waiting for my new PSU which i believe will provide more stable juice to the mobo and proc. I had issue of PSU tripping at vcore near 1.50

Just don't get mad and put 2+ volts through the vCore screaming "Kiss my ass I'm going intel" cause um, it didn't work for me lol....but I did get a 9850 out of the deal...

The highest I could ever get my 9500 up to was 2.62 GHz if I recall. But that could have been my boards fault as well, it doesn't let the 9850 over 2.94

Agh. 229 FSB, 2.5ghz, and 1 worker thread failed after Prime 95 over night. Ran 4 hours 20 minutes.

Ill try it again seeing as it may have just been a hiccup.

What are ur temps at max load? Vid 1.44 looks a bit too much for that OCing. Also what is the ideal Vdimm for those corsair prescribed by them? Most of these high end RAMs are preferred to run arround 2.1~2.3 volts. 2.1~2.2 is preferred by most.

Well i left prime 95 on since 9 in the morning (8:25 PM now) and when i got back, my monitor didnt pick up any signal from the computer but it was still on. When i restarted, it booted fine and now i cant see if i passed or my load temp. The BIOS settings are still in tact. Heres the "result" document that Prime 95 left, i dont know what it means.
