running at 35-38 idle...I have TT DuoOrbs installed on both + all the ram, voltage regs, have heatsinks, etc...Oh yeah and this is running the cards@ 700mhz/1100mhz ( though 2d speed doesn't change )

stock was in the 60s
with fan on at 100% it was mid 40s

ATI said 110c. But thats way hot in my opinion. The plastic heatsink shroud feels like it will melt at 95!

And I have a 4850 that idles at 40c @ 700 core 2200 mem stock cooler 100% fan

Mine seems to never go below 81c. Load goes to about 90c. I cant seem to find any way to raise the speed of the fan, that asus tool doesnt work with the Visiontek card..

If you don't mind the fan at 100% all the time, just pull out the blue wire on the vid card fan header. You can put it back in VERY easily if it's too loud. Mine idled @ 81c and loaded at 97c before I did this. Now I idle at 40c overclocked.

heh, good idea. Just did that to mine and now at 50c idle..and loud as hell. Atleast it'll do til i get a better cooler
