I got 385 x 9 and 420 x 8 (voth 12 hour prime stable) on air with my q6600 (vid 1.2825but I seemed to be let down by my zalman 9700 cooler temps under load under would hit 71-75c with a abmient of 18-20c

vcore were 1.4375v as 1.45 would take temps out of my comfort zone

so when the FSB gets that high, what voltage are you increasing to make it stable? What is cooling the FSB????

im at 1800 FSB and i still only use 1.4v FSB
also for the first few posters
8 multi uses 8 buses to send data/bandwith
9 multi is 9 buses to send data/bandwidth
It requires less volts for my system with 8 multi then 9 multi.
Also the high FSB is nicer too if your memory can keep up

CPU <===> RAM
.......^fsb

lol

Got close to 3800 and stable in the sig rig, but I geared down ... can't stand a screaming pair of fans to cool it the the required voltage

I tried 8x a long time ago, but I had some trouble with it. I had forgotten about the benefits. I think I'll give it a go again!

im running 450x8 3600mhz 1.28 vcore i can run 400x9 on same vcore mosty the higher fsb is dependt on your ram if it can handle the clock you should be good. And also if you run 4 sticks of ram you might need to bump the nb to make it stable.
