Installing AoC... how will my performace be?

Ok, so I'm installing AoC now. I was just wondering how good do you guys think my performance will be with my current specs, @ 1920x1200. I was thinking what settings I could play at? I'm not sure about maxing it.

Any advice?

From what I've heard you need an SLI set up at that resolution to maintain 30+ fps.

Not very good at all. but not because of your system but because the game is a bit glitchy in general right now.

With my specs. Highest settings maxed other then grass view turned down half way and AA Off. Im getting average of 30-25fps....i will see it drop down to 17-19 fps depending whats happening on the screen. Getting up to 55 fps in dungeons.

Enjoy this game so much..either picking up another 8800 GTX or going for 260/280 ..whatever they are.

I average about 20-25fps with everything on the highest settings, no AA, at 1680x1050, playing at full 1920x1200 brings me down into the 10-20 range, and it's unplayable to me.

As long as you're not maxed out you should be fine.
I'd recommend starting by clicking Medium settings under video options and then going from there. Also MAKE SURE you put Shaders down from 3.0 to 2.0. This will give you the biggest increase in FPS.

Other than that just slowly increase the settings and see where you can get and still keep it playable.

You will run it fine with the graphics turned up quite a bit. My old pc is an e4400 not OC, 2gig ddr2 800, crappy mobo EC 650i, and an evga 8800gt no OC @ 1680x1050 resolution. I put settings to high and ran the game fine in the lower level zones. In the lvl 70-80 zone though i had to turn down the shaders to 2.0 when we would AOE grind and that is really the only time i lag due to my PC and not the server side.

once i upgraded to my sig rig i didn't have problems running it on high setting most anywhere. save the AOE grind sessions my guild would have, and i would have to set it to medium.

It will not be enjoyable. Plus the game is not that enjoyable in general.

Im not sure if its true or not.. but a friend told me SLI does nothing for AoC right now.... another thing ive found is sometimes on certain PC's the higher the settings the better FPS you will get.. but in your case im not totally sure.. just have to mess with the settings for a few hours like I did to obtain a playable fps lol

Hope that helps alil
