maybe borrow or buy and return a usb floppy to figure this out. or if you wanna just say screw it check warranty and possibly replace a maybe ok HD(prob not)possibly wasting your time . Idk what else to suggest Best of luck

some of these other guys may be a lil more resourceful idk

You'll have to explain in further detail how I'd go about doing such a thing. All I have to work with is this PC, an external HDD, a flash drive, and the laptop its self.
