I don't get how it says your CPU temp is 72c, but core temp is only 46c? Have you checked it with anything else? Like Hardware Monitor or something other than Speedfan... I can never get Speedfan to read anything correctly.

wow. 4.0 GHZ on stock cooling air??

interesting. i couldn't even keep my P4 prescott at 3.0 with stock cooling because it kept going 70, then upgraded to zalman and still couldn't because of temps. your temps have got to be really high.

72? that's unreal.

Yup. BTW Core is my 8600GT. I have other fans in my case, but it's all stock. I'll take a pic soon if you'd like.
