I was looking @ various forums and topics and I cant get a clean cut answer. My ep35 ds3r has a pretty big vdroop, when my cpu is idling it is @1.39v and when it is underload it is @ 1.360v. I suppose when my cpu is under load it is within intel's 1.3625v spec, but when it is idling it is 1.39v. Is that going to fry my cpu, my computer is going to be on 24/7 bittorrenting, and most of the time it is idle. I dont plan to keep this cpu for more than 5 years, i usually change comp every 2 -3 years.

BTW this value comes from CPUZ, but the gigabyte software that came with mobo report a 1.38v underload, should i trust CPUZ value, seems like everyone uses the cpuz value when talking about the voltage they feeding their cpu.

I can't get a good reading out of mine for anything. I have my vcore set at 1.405v running at 3.85ghz, I have been running it at that so far for 3 weeks, no issues. I know everyone is going to have a cow over my voltage, but we will see. If I burn it up then I will rma it, or replace.

Back in the day everyone used to go crazy that I had my 3600x2 brisbane at 1.55v full time, it is now over 2 years old and still going strong.

No lol cpu-z says its like 1.33 idle and load 1.31. Like I said I have no clue what its doing so I am just going by what I set in the bios.

EDIT I am also folding 24/7 on it.
