Thread Starter
ok so you know how when you start typing in the navigation bar up top and as you type letters and it automatically looks up those letters as you type from past sites? how do you stop it from doing that? its annoying, and it also gives away my pr0n sites that i dont want my wife to see lol

Tools -> Options -> Privacy ... first three checkboxes

Also at the bottom, check "clear my private data when firefox exits"...

They should really make a checkbox for disabling this... and uh, since it searches your history, disable the history...

download the add-on called stealther. then whenever you want to go to your "fun" sites, press ctrl+shift+s. This will block all tracers in ff, and when you are done hit the same key combo to go back to regular surfing.

Or you hit down on the bar and hit the delete key... I get away everytime

To only return results for URL's you've actually typed in the awesomebar: Go to the about:config page and search for browser.urlbar.matchOnlyTyped. Set it to "true" to limit results to those you've actually typed-find the pages you want without sifting through cruft.
