Roger that, my laptop needs it Your mobo must be special...

That's odd though, I have a P5K deluxe and it needed sata drivers. So did my mom's P5K-E Wifi/AP

OT: Check your bios, there may be an option to disable native sata and install windows with no issues. That's what I do on my HP.
BIOS has nothing like that, gateway sucks (My friend's thinkpad had that option though...)

You could slipstream the drivers into XP.

Are you talking about AHCI mode?
It's either AHCI or enhanced IDE mode (those are the two options available on my p5k) but the Laptop BIOS refers to it as

SATA Native Support: Enable/Disable

DukieHo is actually correct. XP does not have RAID drivers for the majority of controllers out there. You can get lucky but I have found it to be a PITA sometimes when it came to RAID and XP.

Yeah, the thing is the drivers are in an executable which I can't extract due to the fact it wants to put it in an A: floppy which I don't have....well, I really don't want to connect it lol. (I can't get the drivers out...so I gave up)
