ok. i have a q6600 b3 clocked at 3.15 stable from 2.4 but i REALLY wanna try n hit 3.6/4 on air. what quad processers are out there that have reached this on air? cheers

non extreme would be the Q6700 which should hit 3.6 or better. If you look around in the for sale section here you may be able to find one with a low VID. And if you lap the TRUE and Q it shouldnt get too hot, but again its luck of the draw with cpu's some just dont clock well.

The Q6600 GO should hit 3.6 on averege, but some (like mine) wont.

PS: Im not sure about your board will hit the needed FSB, I know the A1 rev is a better and you would need 400x10 for 4.0GHz (which is only poss on a Q6700)

Your sig says 680i...

You should go for a Q9450, that, with the proper cooling, should hit 3.5Ghz.
