1. okay, that power supply is absolutely NOT required. something in the range of 600-750will be more than enough for that system and leave room for future upgrades.

2. that motherboard has gotten a few bad reviews. get a DFI or ASUS X48 motherboard. i can link to some if you're not sure which.

3. what is the purpose of this system? gaming? media editing? folding? etc

If you plan on overclocking dont get a intel board and depending on your budget you might wanna upgrade the 9600gt to a 8800gt. Id change the intel board to a dfi bloodiron or DFI LANPARTY DK P35-T2RS.

It would help a lot if you told us what you are going to be doing with this PC, and what resolution is your monitor going to be. Here is what I have to say otherwise.

Well the WD6400AAKS is faster then both of those Raptors, it is the second fastest drive behind the VelociRaptor. The WD6400AAKS will be really fast in RAID 0. So maybe get one more WD6400AAKS to RAID 0. Otherwise just get one VelociRaptor. Your power supply is way overkill for the system you have. I suggest a Corsair 650VX for expandability and then you can pick up an GTX 260 or 4870 from the money from the hard drives. You really only need around a 500w PSU, but higher will prepare you for upgrades. For the same price I would also change your CPU to the q6700. It is an amazing overclocker.

Your Ram is fine, but I prefer Mushkin, G. Skill, or Corsair Dominators. You are probably going for Newegg's combo deal. The motherboard is ok, but you definately want to look at the other companies if your OC'ing. I suggest DFI. The TRUE is perfect. I don't see a case, but I can suggest a Lian Li or CM Cosmos or Cosmos S.

EDIT: Wow I type really slow. There were no posts when I started typing

Wow

You seem to have a pretty big budget I'm guessing

Since you're building what seems to be a gaming PC, it wouldn't hurt for you to go for 4gb of RAM
