Let me guess... tell me to read it again?
If sony is leading international against the 360, then it can't be a lot not unless more then 10 million of those sales come from the US alone. http://nexgenwars.com/
I do realize it's an estimate, but they do update their numbers when a figure is released. It's pretty hard to say that the 360 has sold ALMOST double what the PS3 had sold. Console gen wars are usually won by the the most number of games sold and how much money each company made.
If sony doesn't start making money soon on their console division, someone is going to answer to investors. Also they may end up going the way of the 360 the next console and focus just games first and then media second.
Either that, or they will copy the Wii's profit plan and make a cheap console that makes money and focuses only on games which is the main reason why people buy consoles.
When it comes to consoles, games should be first and multimedia should be second. Sony is trying to do everything in one go instead of focusing on the reason why consoles are here in the first place. where as the Wii focuses on what consoles are truly about and 360 manage to find a nice balance between the two.
Now if you look at the sales chart, you can see the 360 is slowly creeping up to the Wii, and almost two years later, demand for the Wii is still high. In my store we have to report at every store meeting to not tell customers if we have the Wii in stock or not so we can hold them for next week sales. If we did put them out they would sell out in one day. Two if it happens to rain the first day. The Wii has lapped the ps3 in sales already
