The side fan kept hot air swirling in my case and i wanted a window so i modded a 10 x 12 window. 10" wide so the hard drive rack isn't seen and 12" tall to show off my board. It's awesome.
I have all fans blowing out, there are no fans blowing air into the case. One on the side blowing out taking air from inside the case to outside (thus bringing airflow past the Videocard fan), on in the back that I have turned off with software except if I need it really bad and then ofcourse one on the Heatsink and the 140mm at the top spinning at low (and the side is spinning on low as well, the side brings better temps at low then at high or med).
The CPU temps are CPU max; 48 C. with a 3.2Ghz OC.
You know those perforated things in front of the 5.25 drive bays? They have plastic on them, I managed to get the plastic off so it would let through air. I had two non-used spots so I took two of them, made them stay together and then had them fitted precisely in the front and now the CPU gets air from the top front and the videocard and the PSU get air from the bottom front.
I should get some more Antec fans that are controllable with those fanmates just for the heck of it
