memory not working as dual channel.

Thread Starter
so i have 2 gigs corsair cm2x1024-6400c4 800mhz ram
my mobo says it supports dual channel ddr2 ram but when i go to install the ram in the correct ddr2 slots windows won't boot the computer just keeps restarting. i install the ram as if it were single channel and it boots up perfectly.
my friend lent me 2 more gigs of the ram and when i installed it windows also won't boot so i'm not sure exactly what to do any ideas? my pc specs are listed below

btw both ram types are exactly the same same version same timings and everything

try upgradin to the lastest official bios from giga. if that doesn't work then try ur kit of rams into ur friends mobo see what happens, if it works on his board then youre just one of the 1/10th with a defective board, which you would want to RMA for a new one
