Radiator Box Concept

Thread Starter
I'm planning on making the switch to water cooling my computer soon. I don't feel like cramping everything in my case so i decided to design a box to support all of that good stuff.

what i plan to work with...

-Swiftech MCP350
-Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Reservoir
-Black Ice Xtreme 3 X-Flow Radiator

if you have any suggestions or impovements feel free to let me know.

Make the hose going to the far end of the rad internal if you can. Would make it look cleaner, and reduce risk of it snagging of something when moved etc.

Maybe, you could make the box into a full rectangle instead of an L. Make it so you could fit a computer case on top. That would save a little space, and it has the potential to look and work just as well.

I personally think it would look better if the tubing were not looping in/out of the enclosure several times. Rather than using a single-pass radiator, you could get a dual-pass radiator (with both barbs at the same end) and right there eliminate the need for the long external hose; and by making it a bit wider, you could keep the tube from the res to the pump internal as well.

i'm planning on either making it out of aluminum or stainless steel, and maybe some plexy glass.

Seconded. And the double pass should help cooling some as well. Without the tubing going in and out a lot, it'd look much more professional.
