So I have a GTX 260 in my posession and now I am overclocking it - Page 9

The 1280x1024 "standard" benchmark is negligible for me. These high end cards are made to run high resolution with image sharpening features like AA and AF and that is where they show their true colors. Show me Crysis on a 9800GTX at 1600x1200 with 2xAA and see what the results are.

And now I am kind of mad that you got 690 core out of yours lol. I got artifacts on ATI Tool with anything above 660 core. I will have to try again.

I ran F@H all night and I am getting 5592.65PPD on Project 5004 on stock clocks of 590 core. I'm going to work more on overclocking today.

*EDIT* I am working on the overclocks of the GTX260. I normally run the core and shaders linked which is why I had trouble getting above 650 core earlier. I realized that my shader will not go above 1428. However, I am astonished to report that I have 1215 memory and 714 core going right now. So far everything is looking good. I cannot believe the clock on the memory!

I'm running into a problem right now with Rivatuner. I want to set the core clock at 730 but it won't let me. When I move the slider and click apply it stays at 730, but when I click OK to close the window I see that it slides back to 714 just before the window closes. What's this about?

714/1428/1232 Not completely stable, but about 10 minutes so far on ATI Tool.

How do you get atitool to work?

It keeps telling me my video card isn't used by windows...?
Edit: I read on some forums and downloaded .27 beta 3 because it's a heck of a lot better than beta 4 supposedly and it works now! Scanning for artifacts.

How long should I let it scan before I'm certain it's okay?

Yeah, when I had my 9800GTX i had to unlock the shader to let the core and memory go farther.

It is telling me there is some kernal missing, but that's it. I am just ignoring it lol. Testing 714/1428/1250 right now. So far at 15 minutes.

Nice dude! I'm trying to find a good overclock to be artifact free so I can game with peace of mind that I'm not effing anything up

Good luck to ya! How long are you going to run it for?

Running at 715/1485/1225 scanning for 10 minutes so far

I am at 40 minutes so far on ATI Tool but I am growing impatient and I need to bench lol. I usually like to run it for 120 minutes or more. I just go out and run some errands and let it run, but today I do not have anywhere to go lol. I can't wait any longer!!! Vantage and Crysis coming up within the hour.

Nice! 25 minutes and going! These things can overclock pretty well, I'm really surprised. I thought the massive die size would restrict it.

I'll post up some benches when I get back home tonight.

55 minutes and counting

3.6Ghz. I've never put enough work in to get it 3.8 stable. It goes OK but I would like to have lower voltages.
