GTX 260 seems like a fail because of the 4870/4850.....sorry nvidia
I am very satisfied with mine. Why is it a failure?
well it costs 500 dollars and can be beaten quite easily by the 4850-4870's

Well, it is $400 and my motherboard is SLI only so the clear choice for me is NVidia hardware no matter what the performance of the ATI cards is.

Exactly the point I was trying to make on my thread.

Glad you're happy with your GTX 260. I think I'm going to get one, just waiting out a bit to see how the 9800GTX+ fairs.

definitely not 400$ when in your first post it says "449$" plus the 33 dollars tax = $482
im an nvidia person but at this time ATI has em beat. the 4870 is a great card, i think that it is much better card to go with than a GTX 260/280.

no derek, I actually returned both my 9800GTX's for 540 bucks and i bought the GTX 260 for 420.... Smart move on my part as I gained 120 bucks.

The GTX 2xx series is a good move for those who want to SLI in the future and already have the board, it's not worth buying a new crossfire board just to get the 48x0 series. Now let's not turn this thread into a warfare zone......

I guess I can say that 715/1485/1225 is stable cause i've been running atitool for 6 hours yay!

That is because I bought it on impulse at Best Buy where I was excited that it was out before the release and I wanted it. This thread is not for ATI vs. Nvidia so I will politely ask you to not post further in this thread if you are going to continue to bring this up.

Hey Greg.. can I call you Old Greg? Just kidding.

Do you happen to have World in Conflict? If you do, would you mind running the built in benchmark to see what you get? Use the settings 1920x1200, All settings Maxed/Turned on Max AA/AF.

I would run it for you but I don't have world in conflict installed and I can't find the darn disc anywhere in my room.
