Hey Hey

is this an upgrade version of vista? If so, your old files would be in a folder called "windows.old" You can just delete the folder if you no longer need any of those files. Hope this helps

well since it is just a fresh install, you shold have nothing to lose. you can install it again and this time delete your partitions. if you do not want to, what can get some space back is going into your c drive, there you will see windows.old, that is the backup files of your previous OS that will not run, but all the files are saved there, you can go through it and save fiels to an external or jump drive if need be

You need to reformat your HDD, and I don't recommend using the reformatting tool on the windows disc, use Gparted.

it'll be fine just to delete that folder, you just wont get all the missing space back.

I would say no to deleting that. You will be deleting your actual programs folder which is not a good thing.
