The problem is I can't go past 2.5 for some strange reason, so the RAM's as low as it's going to get, let me try the settings, hold on.

Windows booted and seems stable, should I try to drop the voltage more?
Should I drop the DDR2 + 0.2 down to Manual or +0.1?
What will make be better prepared for passing the ORTHOS test?

Damn 1.3v for 3.7ghz? My E7200 is running at 3.6ghz with 1.21v and is stable... Idle temp is 42c Load temp is 63C

Throw another .1v on your FSB to make it happy (make it +.2v) and if your ram is not overclocked don't add the extra volts.

Keep DDR2 at it's current volts as I assume they are the stock volts. Leave everything for now and reduce vcore to 1.25xx, if it boots and seems stable start your small FFT test in Orthos, you will need to let it run for at least 5 hours for good stability, 8 hours+ for total stability. After you get the CPU stable then you can start tweaking the RAM.

Once you break 3.6Ghz you'll need alot more voltage.

I run 24/7 at 3.8Ghz with 1.31v

Ok here are the UPDATED settings.
DDR2 + 0.2 (It PMSed when I set it to normal)
FSB + 0.2
CPU 1.23V
I have yet to do an ORTHOS test...
How high do you think I can get this GSkill memory to go?
(Temps are now 40C Idle 55C Max?)

EDIT: It BSOD'd on me, but I went into BIOS and saw that I could set memory to 2.0 (780) which the normal clock for it is 800; this will make my OC more stable for now untill I play with the RAM right?
(I set DDR2 to NORMAL)

EDIT2:
Even at 2.6V it's no where near stable. Should I try increasing the volts? But isn't anything past 2.5V unsafe? I'm so confused

Core voltage is sitting at 2.4V in CPUz.

EDIT3: At 2.8V it ran ORTHOS for about 2 minutes, would increasing the voltage any more than this reduce the life of the chip? Would it make it more stable? What do you guys recommend, I need input! :*(

EDIT4: Ran the RAM and CPU separate, RAM stopped in test a minute before the CPU did, if the RAM is underclocked, why wouldn't it pass?

I will guess at about 1100Mhz, pure guessing.

What is at 2.6v? Its not possible for the CPU to be that high it will fry instantly, if that RAM voltage it will fry in minutes.

Its not the CPU that's running at 2.6, there's a BIOS setting called CPU Voltage. I'll go double check the exact name...

FYI: CPU says it's running at 1.248
EDIT: The name is called "CPU Voltage Control"
If I set it at 1.23V windows doesn't boot (BSOD)
If I set it at 1.6V ORTHOS doesn't pass.
If I set it at 1.8V (Currently) ORTHOS lasts a little bit longer.

What puzzles me is, RAM is underclocked, but still doesn't pass the ORTHOS test?

Your CPU is not stable, small FFT is for CPU, the RAM is overclocked with loose timings to ensure it does not throw off any failure that was NOT a cause of the CPU. You just need a bit more vcore. I think I remember seeing a thread here that the EP35-DS3L has a vcore problem which is explaining the 1.23v - 1.8v thats confusing the daylights out of me, I will try to find that thread and what bios are you using now?

EDIT: Here it is http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...ssue-read.html

Ok so all I should do is flash with this new BIOS, gotcha.
So what should I set CPU Voltage Control to? 1.3? I don''t know what to set it to if it's goign to fry my chip.,
