Getting evga 750i (questions)

In about halv an hour im leaving to pick up the evga 750i ftw!

Now i have got a few questions.

1. This is my first time installing a cpu into a new mobo (build my own computer, but friend installed cpu), now how much TIM should i put?

If someone has got a good picture showing how much is good (using the TIM that came with my TRUE)

2. I want to oc my q6600 to 3,2-3,6, could anyone post some stable bios settings to achieve this? (Also which BIOS version you are using)

3. Do i have to clean the TRUE and the q6600 before putting it in the new mobo? (Clean = take off old TIM)

I though i have more questions, but if you have any suggestions or other things i could do installing the mobo or when it is installed please tell!

Thanx

Yeah, use Arctic Silver 5 instead of the TRUE TIM. For the Q6600, just put a line horizontal about the thickness of a grain of rice across the middle of the chip

Like so <-- Instructions, read them. In PDF.

I have my Q6600 at 3.2 with a 400 x 8 multiplier @ 1.375 Vcore. I took it down to 8 because it's more stable.

Once again, this all depends on your chip and its VID. My Q6600's VID is 1.3125.

Check out the links in my sig for OC settings, guides and a complete thread :-) Its a great board, and Ive found the SZ17 bios to be the best.

And yes, clean your TRUE with some alcohol (rubbing not drinking) and follow above directions to apply TIM. The AS5 will take a few weeks to cure and you will see temps drop in that time. If you can find OCZ Freeze there is no cure time so first temps are real times.

Good Luck, and be sure to post at the OC thread and let us know how its going

Thanx guys for the replys!

AS5 is not awailable in Finland So im going to have to use the TRUE TIM.

Is like Vodka good for cleaning? 40% alcohol.

If i remember right my cpu vid is 1,200, but where can i check it? (Cant remember)

I use coretemp to check VID.

And order some AS5 or OCZ Freeze, it will help

And Im sure you can find some rubbing alcohol for alot cheaper than Vodka
