I have an Asus Striker Extreme with the 1504 BIOS and a C2D E6600, all water cooled. They were running fine at 1600*8 with my memory at 800 4-4-4-12-2T.

All of a sudden, my CPU is stuck at the default 1066*9 (stock for an E6600). When I change this in the CMOS, exit and save changes and reboot, it goes back to "Auto" (1066*9). All of the other settings (boot priority, memory latencies, voltages, etc) do save but this setting just keeps going back to "Auto".

I can't even put the FSB to 1066 on "Manual"

Has anyone ever heard of this before? I have tried everything I can think of and it still just goes back to "Auto" when I turn the machine on.
