That goes for a lot of modular PSUs. Modular PSUs are generally about an inch longer than the ones with fixed wires. This is simply because the extra room the modular connectors take inside the PSU encasing.

Well naturally, but he was expressing concerns of not being able to fit the PSU in his case, so the size does matter.
