'BECAUSE DEY IS EVIL LOLOL' no, because it is a pointless AT THIS TIME. There isn't even a single DX 10.1 optimized game, DX 10 is already stable enough, and Nvidia probably assumed the average user would get a little sore after constantly having to upgrade to a new video card because Microsoft added some new features to direct X.

I know I don't want to go out and buy a whole new card if directX 10.2 ever gets made.
Your post was based on unsupported assumptions, so I said your response was typical of that of a fanboy, and it is. Your second post is no better. Just because you ignore what is presented to you (multiple times over in this thread, even!) to create your own reality doesn't make it true.

But when there is, I want to have a DX10.1 card, not even nVidia's $650 card can give me that. People were saying the same thing about DX10 when it came out, but now DX10 games are popping up and once enough people have their hands on a DX10.1 card, game developers might just implement it in their games.

And I have my own theory on why nVidia doesn't support DX10.1...DX10.1 gives performance gains, but if a 9800GTX can have good performance on certain game, then why would they upgrade to nVidia's more powerful cards? They wouldn't, and now nVidia doesn't make as much money. As crazy as that might sound, I think there is a possibility that it might be true.
