noob questions PS and 7600gs

Hi i new to the forums. ive done some reasearch and ive got a few questions.
I own a motorcycle shop and ive got an dell thats a few years old that i like to play a few games on and do some autocad to design parts and mostly business stuff.

Im looking to get a little more performance out of the machine with out cooking it. mainly the graphics card. And a i think i need good cheap powersupply.

dell 4600
Intel P4 2.66 northwood
Intel 865 MB
Pny nvidia 7600gs 512MB
SB live pci sound card
Samsung 40gb 7200rpm HD master running Ide 100
maxador(sp?) 7200rpm 20 gb internal slave drive for backup
stock powersupply (i think 250watt)

1. Do i need to upgrade the powersupply? I pretty sure im cutting it close but i have never had it crash or anything. i have also heard that the PS's are underated form dell. Also is there a program that can test my amp usage?

2. I would like to bump up the 7600gs a little bit but do not wont to overheat it or take any big risks like vmods. what is a safe level to but it up to without getting to extreem.

Overclocking your video card should yeild some performance gain and shouldn't be a terrible problem. What are your temperatures? Download EVGA Percision: http://www.evga.com/articles/405.asp

I would recommend you also look around for some use RAM. A bump to 1.25-1.5GB would be noticable.

no base line numbers?

I used riva tuner to bump it up to 460(400stock) core and 280 men(250stock). and it runs fine with around a 2-3c jump in temps around 58c in games.

Also what is the recomeded drivers to use with the card im and using 6.14.11.7519 in device mananger.

Standard 2D :GPU: 460 MHz - Memory: 281 MHz
3D Performance :GPU: 460 MHz - Memory: 281 MHz
ForceWare Version :6.14.11.7519
