BIG annoying problem - Games freezing - Page 2

K i took the clocks off... When i had the clocks set i put RivaTuner to "start windows with these clocks" and saved it, would that have been reversed when i did a system restore? If not i took them off and played oblivion for about 10min then it froze up. Luckily i got out so.. Could this still be due to my video card?

Undo that, infact just click no to overclocking in the RivaTuner menu (the prefomrance 3d setting thing in the corner). If that doesnt work try restoring your clocks the uninstalling Riva to make sure it doenst set it high agian. But that does sound like a gpu problem. When it freezes are there any wierd looking glitches on the screen?

yup, like sometimes a black screen blinks up on the screen for half a second every 5 seconds, and sometimes it blinks 5 times in a row every 10seconds.

Could it be that i broke my video card? I only would have ran through 3Dmark06 once and just went on the internet with the clocks that could have broke it... but im not getting any weird effect on my screen so i dont think thats the issue, but a possibility?

Install new drivers and bring down the overclock a bit. What are your temperatures?

what clocks are you running at, and you probably didnt break it, it just got to hot most likely and is just locking up.

Just a long shot but: In my ears 620w seems pretty low for your system? try taking out one of the 9800gtx and play with a single one, and see if it freezes again.

Good Luck!
