Yes, I know it's Fudzilla, but Blizzard announced long ago during one of their demos of SC2 that they were using the Havok engine. ATI and Intel are already in the process of implementing Havok. Now take into account the MILLIONS of Blizzard fans. 90% of Korea will be buying ATI cards after SC2 is released and they see the ATI/AMD symbols slapped all over. IF DX10.1 is implemented, the HD4870 will outperform the GTX 280 for half the price(In SC2 because of DX10.1!) Remember the article that some ATI rep released telling it's AIBs to assume 50% market share by Q3? Yeah, it's gonna happen.
We'll see. I think it would be as silly for Blizzard to ignore Nvidia in SC2 as it would be for Epic to ignore ATI in UT4. In fact, it would be sillier of Blizzard to do so, than the other way around, considering that the majority of gamers have Nvidia cards.

Personally I hope for Blacktivision(Blizzard+Activision) to completely side with Intel's Havok, DX10.1, and have only ATI ads. First of all I'm a fan boy for ATI And second I hate NVidia But thirdly I think that having ATI bring AMD out of the dumpster would help compeitition A LOT. AMD will have funds to get some better CPUs and force Intel's prices down. NVidia's cards will get much cheaper as well. It helps everyone!

EDIT: There are more Blizzard fans than there are NVidia fans, I doubt they would lose any respect or sales by supporting ATI instead.

Well first off... Yes it is supported. Go to the nvidia physics page. It said boldly "DRIVERS ARE NOT RELEASED YET. ETA: SOMETIME IN 2008" So it's not suprising you havn't gotten it to work.

That said they seem to be getting it to work with the newer stuff first, which I suppose I can understand why. No worries though your GTX will get it as well, just not right now.

Also, Vantage is a benchmark that--call me crazy!--is pretty heavily dependant on frame rates.
You have to agree that DX10.1 should be in Vantage as well, especially if PhysX is incorporated. Something smells fishy there. What THG fails to mention is that the vast, vast majority of the games with PhysX are about as popular as a the U.S. President right now, so saying there are 150 games supporting PhysX means nothing. When the majority of games being released use PhysX and not Havok or some other proprietary engine, then you can say AMD dropped the ball. Besides, there is no reason for PhysX specifically to be in Vantage, especially with there being no DX10.1 support.

When has physics made a game more fun? Ever tried the physics in CS:S? Totally annoying. A stupid chair on the ground can hinder the movement of a player. That's total physics BS. A player should be able to kick that chair out of the way if there was real physics in place.

I would be nice if physics enabled me to shoot the structure of an object and have something collapse on the enemy player, but is there a game like that on the market? I don't think so.

All this talk about DX10/10.1, let me ask you this, do you see a significant difference between DX9 and DX10? When a player is busy blasting s*** on screen, I don't think he has time to sit still and go, "wow! look at all those puuurtty textures".

Because only Geforce 9 has a PPU on their PCB.

have you not seen how the 4000 series plows through AA samplage with the 10.0 api? not something to complain about :]

Boy! What a good point. Benchmarks use PhysX.

Must go get PhysX card. Must be #1 in 3dmark!

How lame.

As of now only G92 and GTX 2*0 chips can utilize PhysX. There aren't any games that can really benifit from it as of yet making it useless until then. The control panel acknowledges it's activated on 8-series G92 chips, 9800GTX, GTX 260, and GTX 280. 9600GT nor 8800GTX/Ultra will acknowledge that a GeForce PhysX device is enabled/present.

You knock what you don't have. nVidia keeps knocking DirectX 10.1.....

Except that when Nvidia dies, Intel quits helping AMD, crushes AMD, and then becomes the only CPU and GPU vendor. Good job!
