or wait, with your current rig, and then get a new mobo and a pair of 4870s
Time?

Why always time?

Why the hell cant ATI release a good driver that doesn't require a 50% increase in FPS every update....

People complain about getting bad FPS... Oh its the drivers

See a pattern here?

When a game is developed through Nvidia's TWIMTBP program, Nvidia gets inside knowledge on exactly how the game is rendered and will have the relevant optimizations put into their driver before the game is released. On the other hand, if ATI doesn't have as good a relationship with the developer (since they lack a substantial similar program), they need to wait until the game is actually finished/released and then they have to figure out what kind of render calls it's making in order to optimize for it.

IMO, its worth the extra bucks to nVidia for better support. Thats pretty much what you are paying for when you get a slightly lower price/performance ratio... Driver support (GTX 200 Series exempt - those are just retarded expensive).
