For some reason I am still not believing this and I know iam not the only one. So first 1.18v now he said he removed the +.1v so that 1.08v and it went 15 minutes on Prime95? Let alone POST. I seen great chips but somethings fishy with this.

validation link. So it's safe to say that i got a good one lol.

on a side note my temps are resting now around 67 degrees. when i run prime95 small fft's for a long time. When the as5 cures a little more it should come down.
CPU-Z is probably misreading your vcore.. anything under 1.2v for 4Ghz is not believeable and even if it was the magical chip 1.18v gives 67c? Iam at 1.344v 3.9Ghz and I get 60c......

Thread Starter
well it ran over night fine, but who knows what the vcore is at at this point. It is on auto in the bios. I think i am just going to leave it that way since i am stable at 4.03ghz and my temps are fine. With the +.100 removed it stays under 60c all the time now which is sweet.

^^ I agree with FreeRoller.

Post some screen shots of Prime95 @ 8hrs with Cpu-z running, and maybe take vcore off auto and set it to your VID (can be found in CoreTemp)

I don't think your OC is legit (yet, at least)

edit: keep in mind this cpu has half the cache that the e8400 does. And for the guy who thinks 1.21v VID is bad, you're mistaken, it's fairly average. I got 1.220v VID.

screenshot please?

get a vcore reading via HWMonitor, CPUz, or EVEREST - that tells you what it is

I have what is also considered a "golden chip" but what you have is just not physically possible if what you say is right. Your numbers dont add up so start posting more screenshots if you want to be respected for that overclock.
