I was trying to make a negative point, but whatever....
We know. I play because it is a multiplayer game with many different facets. I can play with thousands of people, play 9 different classes, so 9 different experiences, and i can devote as little or as much time as I wish to it and i will never run out of game to play.

I would say it was more "creating your own character in a large environment" when I used to play.

However, it sucks way too many hours to really get into an MMO, sometimes it always seems like you can get a higher level or piece of equipment, and I hate grinding.

I usually like to get into a guild and meet some cool people.

Who chose that roleplay option?

I picked the one that included the words 'guild' and 'PvP'! Nothing better.

People naturally want to be in the lead or have power. I think MMORPG's set that out pretty well, people want to be the best, they want to crush the competition. Same can be said why people want to run websites or IRC networks. Power is the main reason. Atleast that is what I view it.

Yeah, I wouldn't play MMOs without the social part of them.

i started playin several years ago, when i was pretty little, like 12 or 13. i was left home alone a lot so i figured an mmo would be a pretty fun way to play with the rest of my friends when we had some free time (which i used to have a lot of ), and it just kinda stuck with me. been playing ever since, although my focus has changed a bit. i play mainly for story and progression with my guild now
