PSU advice needed

Thread Starter
I know my current 600w Coolmax psu wont be able to handle this rig once I throw a 4870x2 and a nice tv tuner in there, so what psu should I look at for when I get the 4870x2 and the tv tuner?

Thanks in advance!

Budget? Maybe 700W or something with a high +12V rail amperage.

not really on a budget, I want it to be able to run good and cool, I dont want to have to push it to its limit because headroom is always good for temperatures and down the road I will be adding 2 more hard drives

edit: forgot to mention the 3870 will remain in the system for crossfire

if you want the headroom and you are looking to go crossfire i would recommend a 1000 watt PSU, it may be a little overkill but you won't have any worries. i really like my corsair but a pc power and cooling would be a good choice.
