Hello!

I've got an Asus P5B motherboard, c2d e4300 proc and 2 gigs of Geil Ultra-smthing Ram (800MHz, 4-4-4-12). So far I've pushed it to 333MHz x 9 (3GHz) and it's stable. Memory runs at 833, 4-4-4-12. But here's the weird part:

I'm able to set it to 360 x 8 (2,88GHz), setting CPU vcore to 1,425V and NB vcore to minimum (can't remember, it's 1,25V or smthing, minimum anyway) and it's 100% stable, but only if memory is set at 1:1 ratio (720MHz DDR). BUT if I try setting memory any higher system won't even POST. If I lower the FSB to, let's say, 340MHz, leaving all the same, but setting memory to 850MHz (higher divider), the system still won't POST. This made me think it's a memory problem. So I tried raising the voltage, but it made no difference. Raising NB vcore to 1,4V helps to boot, but system crashes while loading OS. So, just to test, I tried running it the way I described at the beginning (333MHz x 9), but with NB vcore set at 1,4V. And guess what? It stopped working (I get random crashes).

Cooling is not a problem, NB temp never rised above 35°C. So why would it work less stable on higher voltage? Any idea what could I do to get maximum performance out of this rig? I've read numerous guides but still no idea of how to get to max. I must say, I'll be happy if I got to 3,15GHz (350x9) and with memory running at 875MHz, so my expectations aren't really high...

So, can anybody help?

PS. Sorry for bad English, I haven't used it for a while ;]
