I wouldnt buy a new q6600 they dont oc like the older ones, Either break down and get a q6700 or buy a used q6600 before made before 2008. If you can afford $1000 upgrade wait on Intels new platform. Cpu-mothrboard and ddr3 memory are needed to upgrade. But If you wait til it matures and everyone gets the quirks out of it It will probably be $500 to upgrade. ALLEN

In your case, I'd up the video card for now and then you can take high end PCIe 2 card to a new build in the near future and still game like crazy with your current system
