Your comments please guys!

HEy guys been posting on the forum for the past few weeks and just want some of your comments please, good and bad on my rig and my OC

After hours and hours of reading guides, FAQ's and searching for old oc posts on my cpu i was confident enought to do mine

Originally i clocked it to 3.0ghz and 3.2 easily and stable, so i thought i'll go for the next big one

Im currently running at 3.6ghz with a voltage of 1.4v. Temp is 27*c idle and 52*c under load, ambient is 20*c. I ran orthos for 6 hours with no warnings and no errors, which i was pretty chuffed about

I would just like your comments if there is anything i can tweak or improve? Windows crashes with the voltage lower than 1.4, thats not to high is it? The ram is running unlinked from the cpu as i cannot go higher than 800mhz, will this slow the speed down?

Thanks guys for replies in advance!

Great job for a first overclock. 1.4v is not too high for the 65nm C2Ds. The biggest concern with overvolting is temperatures and yours are fine. As far as the RAM goes you could try running it at 900MHz, you will probably have to loosen the timings though, but will get you better performance.

i did try running at 900mhz and it wouldnt boot. I changed the timings to 4-4-4-12-2t and it still wouldn't boot.

Need to do some more research on ram timings i think

OK well thought i'd give it a go, computer booted and ram running at 900mhz 4-4-4-12-2t

Seems stable, reason it wouldn't boot before was voltage was to low. Made one improvement already thanks!

Any suggestions on things to upgrade

that is a good point actually. I have also heard (dont know if its true) if you have a decent soundcard it can improve your fps?

Going to save my money for graphics card first, hopefully pay day here i come!
