7800GTX was king. How many are still using the 7800GTX?

So 3 year warranty is probably sufficient.
With the useful life of computer components (see: obsolete), I agree that a lifetime warranty seems rather unneeded. 3 years should be enough, even 5 years would probably be to the point where the graphics card has served it's purpose and then some (at least when it comes to gaming cards).

i was thinking the exact thing, just too lazy to post it
and the step up thing is pretty much only good for very few people, and the 90 days or 120 days or watever run out as new cards are release every 6 months

Its funny how the am2 EVGA 590SLI had a life time warentee, but people threw it out in a year cuz it had no future upgrade support. best cpu supported was a 6000+ and the whole am2 drive was am2+ cpus were supported as well.

I don't know if I will upgrade my graphics card anytime soon because gaming cards are not that valuable to me. But if I do I imagine that the 9800GTX, 9800GTX+, 4850, and 4870 will all get careful consideration.

I'd say 5 years would be better - I generally keep backup rigs around for 5+ years, and I'm not always fond of spending even the meager $50 it would take to get an equivalent (or better) card in those systems. I actually like XFX's double-lifetime warranty though. That really helps boost resale value of the card.

I think this is a fitting sign of exactly what ATi were aiming for, Gainward has seen the target ATi are heading for, seen how well they are nailing it, and jumped on the bandwagon with some very good looking cards! Wonder how that cooler performs

Looks like another backhand across Nvidia face.

I do agree with PaulDovi though...I dont see why people are like '' Omg I so have to get that card becuase it looks better !''

Seriously...how many of your mates are going to come round and say '' W00T lets see your graphics card man....WOW what a L33T looking sticker''

The best part is that the sticker faces the ground... no one can see it anyways!
