Stay away from Silenx, they don't test their fan noise the same and actually produce more noise on radiators than many others.
One of the quietest fans I've ever used:
Vapors testing had the Silenx fans nearly in last place for cfm vs noise performance even in open air...yikes!
And similarly in last on a radiator.
Yate loons are really hard to beat, particularly the curve blade types from Petra's.
Fans definately don't fit the old you get what you pay for scenario. Granted loons are just a sleeve bearing, but they work and hold up pretty well. The higher speed fans a different story though.Edited by Martinm210 - 6/27/08 at 6:02am
