Good Co-op/LAN games

I am looking for some good co-op games for either PC, X360, or PS3.

These games will be played with my wife. She enjoyed playing Gears of War and Halo 3 Co-op (esp. Gears). She also didn't mind Company of Heroes via LAN on PC. Thus I am thinking she would be willing to try a co-op shooter/action, strategy game (campaign/LAN), racing/flight, or maybe even something else.

I am looking to get ideas from other people. Perhaps I missed some games, but the latest games seem to focus on online multiplayer, but not 2 player or Co-op so much. I hate that because I like to be able to play with others in the house if I so choose.

Thanks!

RTS games are always fun, and the best LAN games for the computer. Here are my suggestions though

RTS-Dawn of War series (Some of the best grpahics for a real time strategy game, easy to learn, and quick OR long games depending on how you play), Starcraft (Old school but always good), Warcraft (A little different on the RTS side, much faster gameplay)

RPG- Diablo II (Great game, can play online with a thriving community, or private online/single player. Long-ish game, lots of things are so unique about this game)

"I have a LAN at home. My q6600 with 2GBDDR2 800MHz and a 8800GT and my 3GHz P4, with 1GBDDR 400MHz and a x850 Pro."

"Games I play include:

Homeworld 2
C&C 3
Supreme Commander
ST:Bridge Commander - With Kobiashi Maru Mod pack
Battlefield 2
Gears of War (I love playing it at 480x320 res!)
Alpha Centauri
Civilization 4
F.E.A.R Multiplayer (free download actually)
Need For Speed:Most Wanted
Asheron's Call

They are all a blast!"

I'll second a vote for Dawn of War (and all the expansions), it's the first game my wife has played heavily since we both retired from Everquest. Like all the greats, it's easy to pick up but hard to master. Co-op skirmishes are great fun. You can play DoW: Soulstorm as a standalone product, which now ranks as one of my all time favourite games.

If you fancy some other RTS action, check out Ground Control 2, It's the game Massive made before they put out World In Conflict, which is somewhat its spiritual sequel, and has a lot of similarities.

GC2 is pretty, fast-paced, and doesn't involve base-building. It should also be dirt cheap now. I played it on a LAN/online for almost 2 years. The online community is dead now, but as a LAN game I still love it.

I can add to the before mentioned games AoE:II and Rainbow 6: Ravenshield.....

R6:
We always have fun killing somewhat 30 or more enemies on the small maps with checking each door with the heartbeat sensor etc. and then take em out silently.
AoE:II:
Needless to say anything: loads of fun, though the graphic is dated...

Hope I was a help for you.

greets
