I was wondering how well this chip overclocks compared to the E8400 and how far do you think I can overclock it?

At a guess, I'd say on average you would get 8.5/9'ths of the speed you could get out of the E8400. This is just taking the different multipliers into effect.

I have it and I can't overclock it. Whenever I make a change to the Voltage or FSB, no matter how subtle, it won't boot up into windows, it says there is an error and I must reset the bios back to default. I am pissed, i thought i was overclocking correctly.

***nevermind I figured it out. I read that it was good to leave the Clock setting to linked, but what i didn't realize was that my DDR speeds were jumping by huge percentages when I made FSB changes, finally i am good to go!
