If you can, I would recommend you to save up for a 4870. It performs MUCH better than an 8800GT.

Overpriced. You can get an 8800GTS 512, 9800GTX, or an HD4850 for around that same price and all those cards are better than the 8800GT.

Spend the few bucks more and get the 4850, it's twice as fast as an 8800GT

Actually, I've heard an HD4850 is 10% faster than a 9800GTX, which is about the same as an 8800GTS 512, which is only 10% faster than an 8800GT, therefore, an HD4850 is only 20%-25% faster than an 8800GT. Sound about right because I'm not completely sure?

Doesnt look like hes asking "what should I get"

I have 2 of them on my sys, great cards, Ive had three of them. I f'd one up with pcie freq and pny sent another so ya cant complaine about that..

All n All I like em just fine, and for 169 after MIR ya cant go wrong...

But gen, the best route is to post this thread before you buy, we coulda got yo something a bit better for about the same price
