1) you really need to stop telling us how much x64 > Vista...we heard you the first million times. If your that unhappy switch back. If you can't suck it up, move on and only use the reference as an example. In every post I've read from you in this forum it's been why vista sucks. It gets old.

2) Try switching the hard drive on your motherboard to a different SATA. Try switching your hard drive mode in bios to IDE rather then SATA or AHCI.

3) That "It is now safe to turn off your computer" happened in XP too. It occured when the motherboard had no control over the power supply to turn itself off. But lo and behold. We're in the "new" age and have been for about.....8 years now?
