7800GT Still Low FPS

Thread Starter
So Guys! I'm back once again... It seems that no matter what I Do. Nothing seems to be working..

So whats the issue?!
Well, it seems that my 7800GT is churning about 17-18 fps @1440x900 (All High Settings) in WoW... It didn't do this with XP!

My friend and i swaped video cards his 7950gt for my 7800gt and somethign else.. Well we swapped back and after a clean install of the forceware drivers it seems that i'm stuck... I've tried the 175, 169, and i'm currently on the 163 drivers... I've tried reseating it even! And even tried to overclock it! 475/1170 stable forever in ati tool and games....

Obviously, something's wrong and I just don't know what it is..

I'm hoping that OCN can help me!..

Well what game are we talking about here? If its Crysis, then obviously there's nothing wrong. But you didn't specify what game we're talking about .

It's WoW
Yeah umm for WoW you should be getting like 500+ FPS, lol...(not quite that much), but yeah WoW doesn't take much at all.

I do remember there being an issue with WoW and Vista 64. Have you made 100% sure that your game is 100% up to date?

Yea you can't play the game unless its up to date w/ the latest patch
post #8 of 10
I honestly couldn't tell you then . I'm not much into WoW at all personally....but I know a 7800 card would absolutely MAX that game out with no issues.

How do other games play? Is it JUST a WoW issue, or is it all games that have bad framerates?
