Almost 4GHZ on a matx board!! - Page 2

I did the volt mod and it wasnt very pretty but it killed the vdroop completely basically i ripped a resistor off and that was that ^__^

BUT After priming for awhile at ~1.55 My psu decided that it was time to hit the hay and took my mobo down with it so thats the end of my matx board =(

I'll be running to frys in a few hours to pick up a new board probably another gigabyte one and will try to hit 4ghz with my 500w psu

well, you saying you ripped of a resistor doesn't sound like a good thing. cause i'm sure that resistor was blocking voltage to other stuff too...

I looked at the datasheet of my chip and the resistor i took off wasnt used for anything else but for helping to regulate vdroop
