Funny, I can actually play HD video and render webpages, and render things in Pro Engineer (And various other engineering applications) on my laptop with it's GMA950... (Which is all I use my laptop for really)
Oh and I would be one of those people who spent the equivalent of $2000 on this laptop. Its a good peice of gear, small light, and does everything swiftly with great battery life. I don't do any gaming on it, so it suits me fine! Never any graphics issues at all!
How important is a big power hungry graphics card in a laptop? Not very if your main priority is doing anything which doesn't involve gaming. It lowers your battery life unnecessarily.
Now I'm not saying "OH MY GAWDZ!!! INTEL IGP PWNZORZ T3H GTX280 AND HD4870!!!11!!" I'm saying there is an absolutely huge market for low power integrated graphics solutions, and it's just ignorant if you don't realise that.
