Sweet!

Thanks for sharing your results. I think I will wait for a good price drop and get the GTX280 now instead of the 8800GTS SLI I was going to go with. The 15% faster looks like a close number too, it's usually hiped up. I'm looking forward to the TRI-SLI numbers, you're probably going to need some serious A/C to go along with that setup.

Maxishine are you sponsored or does all this come out of your pocket? Is this your job? Running benchmarks and doing reviews all day? Pretty sweet gig, if you ask me.

Uhh, my 9600GT SLI set up was maxing Crysis out at 1280x1024. Albeit not at 50-60 fps. SO I think a GTX280 should be able to do that.

Very nice! It feels like I can roast a hotdog from the exhaust coming out of my 8800GTS at full load. I can't even imagine the heat of 3 in SLI, plus add the CPU OC temps at full load. I did save on heating this last winter though. I guess that works out well for you right now since it's winter there.

I'll be able to confirm some of Maxis' findings on Monday, as my other 2 GTX280s will be here then.

Wow! What PSU is that on Maxshine? DA 1200W? Do you have a way of monitoring full system wattage under load? Maybe a UPS with an LCD (I have one, really useful.)
