The 4850 is a much faster card than the 8800gt, so its worth the extra $50.

Incorrect. The 4850 is for sure the better card, but not twice as fast.

I think its worth getting a 8800gt. I have one and it plays ALL of my games fine. 4850 is more "future proof" though
