Oh, I didn't notice that it had that high of a VA. Would you happen to know how loud the fan is in it? The reviews didn't say much about it.

Also, could someone please explain what higher VA means in terms of actual use?

Thanks

Here is UPC's chart: http://www.apcc.com/products/runtime...m?upsfamily=23. If you look at the 900VA one, it shows how long it would last at different watt levels. So with your monitor and system, I'd say the 900VA should last at least 5 min at full load. So if you are in the middle of gaming and your hear the battery warning, you've got plenty of time to shut down. If you are just doing average stuff you would have 20 min or more of battery time. That is going by that chart. I don't like how they rate by the VA and since your PSU has active PFC, their run times are about 60-70% of what you would actually see. So probably 9 or 10 minutes at full blast and about 30 or 40 min or more at average load.

Noise I'm not sure about, I'll have a look around.

edit:
I've had a look around and there are some people complaining that the XS900 fan is always on unlike most other models where it only runs when on battery power. Some people don't mention it some do, I'm not sure what to make of it. Either way I couldn't find any real reviews only user comments.
