"Whoh! Way to over react to his opinion. Last time I checked opinions could be expressed openly without this sort of snap judgement."

"Maybe I am posting this because I happen to agree, suicide is a cowards way out. If you can't face the difficulties of life, and you just want to give up, suicide is a great option for those weak enough to consider such a thing. I think someone has the right to suicide, it's their life after all, if they want to be selfish and hurt the ones who love them, go for it. But just because I think they have the right to choose that, doesn't mean I have to respect that decision."

"I'm not going to wipe some kids butt, buy him an ice cream and tell him life is a beautiful miricle because if they are so far gone as to want to end it all for whatever reason they need help. Serious help, like from a professional."

"Keep your judgements to yourself, I'd love to hear your opinion, but try and be civil about it. Please!"

The whole thing could of been avoided if he was rise up correctly......But see, parents can only do so much, whereas, its up to the children to take heed to what their parents are teaching them, and lived correctly. Obviously, this kid has been having problems, thus he made a bad choice and paid for it dearly.......

I think that most people who feel sad for a random death of which they have no emotional or physical ties to is mainly due to them subconsciously associating the death to someone they DO know and have strong emotional feelings for.
Oh I don't know, maybe because I'm a compasionate human being who doesn't feel arogant enough to have to find a fault with everyone? If there were less people like you and others in this thread maybe the world would be a better place.

Well, all I have to say is that I have lost a lot of respect for some of the members here. Yes, life can be tough. Yes, some people have a hard time dealing with things. The fact that a kid with issues killed himself (you are truly ignorant if you think it was over a wii) due to this is sad. It is sad as his parents lacked the ability to help him or see that there was a problem. It is sad as, something in this childs brain or in his life was so unbalanced that this happened. I have lost many people close to me and maybe that gives me the ability to have some empathy for him and his family. I really can't believe that so many of you actually think this was over a game.

You want Darwinism? Go live for yourself without Crysis and redbull. Go out into the real world and see how far your tough guy attitude gets you. Having the ability to feel for other people and their need is a gift, not a crutch. I am sickened by some of the comments here. Obviously many of you pretend to understand death and what it means and how it effects people, but if you truly did, you would know what it is like to lose someone close for any reason. I am scared as hell too see what the world will be like in 20 years. Nobody gives a ****e about anything anymore. Darwinism is the poor fool who straps rockets to his truck at 35, not the poor kid who had problems that were ignored.

Oh, and the douche that spouts off about slavery and racism? Where would you be if nobody felt compassion for your ancestors? Do you think you would be able to sit at your PC and spout off some tough guy BS then? Where would you be without people who had the power, but still had the ability to fathom the plight of the under privileged? It is the ability to empathize that corrects the wrongs in the world. Someday maybe you'll understand.

Do you think that I made a snap judgement, I had a good friend commit suicide, she was schizophrenic and killed herself by jumping of a cliff. You can't say she was a coward, she was ill, anybody who commits sucide isn't thinking straight. Try to think of his parents sitting there in the hospital for two days watching him die, thinking it was their fault. Thinking about how others feel is what people with compassion do, as opposed to selfish people!

so this kids serious issues with anger management and authority are because of the Wii? i think not.

man some of this **** pisses me off. i mean, condolences to the family, its a tragic loss of life. but at the same time, control your kid. i mean, what normal person, in their right mind, would hang themselves after throwing a tantrum?

he obivously wasnt "all there up stairs" to begin with, and no one noticed it until now.

The reality is that a person who is mentally troubled will continue to be in that state, whether they play video games or not. We, as observers on the other side of a computer monitor, don't get to make the decision what the factors were. A sad story nonetheless, but one oft repeated.
