is that CPU compatable with my MB? O.O

Are you setting the fan speed under LOW LEVEL TWEAKS? Cause there's two places you can set the fan speed, and only one of them works right. Use the top popup menu bar on the RT main screen, NOT the bottom menu (i.e NOT the one with overclocking/dx/opengl settings as part of the menu bar) to get to it.

I believe RT will affect both cards identically but I'm not 100% positive cause I've never run SLI. Pretty dang sure though.

Don't forget though that 3dMark06 is *NOT* a game. A 5200X2 is good enough that it's not likely ever going to *reduce* your playable settings (i.e. force you to reduce resolution/image quality) in any games. What it WILL do is affect your score in those benchmarks that are cpu-dependent, such as 3dMark06.

Basically, what having a better proc does is raise your fps 'ceiling', e.g. a better cpu will get you from like 75fps to 100fps. But that REALLY doesn't matter, unless you're running benches, i.e. obsessed with the size of your e-peen.

You see, the CPU you have should be capable of at least 35-40 fps in ANY game out there (and in most that # will be much higher), and to be honest, as long as you're pulling 35fps, any game'll play smooth.

All I can suggest otherwise is that you could look into one of the Phenoms, the nicer ones are significantly better than the 5200X2.

Yeah, your CPU is bottlenecking your GTX's

I hit a limit at 15.9k in 3dmark06 cause I can't go past 3.0ghz on my quad core.

If you get a better cpu you'll see much higher numbers.

The only place I see to mess with my fan is under System settings, the one you're saying doesn't work. How exactly do I get to the other one?
