Its not stable if a core failed. Up the vcore a notch, and try again . It should only take another notch..MAYBE two to get it stable . My dad's was doing the same (failing with one core) at 3.0GHz with 1.20v. I upped it to 1.225v and it was stable for 96+ hours . So it shouldn't take MUCH more voltage at all to be perfectly stable.

i'd have to agree. if your at reasonable temps..there is no reason to not up the volts a bit. if you so.. choose.. **** i had my q6600 at like 1.57 forever at 3.9 never had a prob.

i was on water tho..so yea once again. if you feel like it. jump up a notch like the previous guy suggested you have plenty of room

well i just upped it another notch and left prime95 running before i went to work..came back from work and was pleasantly surprised it was still running and i kept it running for a little longer..overall a 11hr p95 run so it does indeed seem stable..Looking at the vcore it took some other people to hit 3.6ghz with i guess mine isnt too bad and ill push for 3.8ghz some time..but atm im happy at 3.6ghz.

It is a different chip, but this 6700 isn't that great of an overclocker...and I can't seem to get anything over 3.6 stable any more. Not sure what's going on with it. Anything over 360 FSB and my board wants to throw a fit.

hey dude
I have the same chip as you with same vid and similar problems

I am stable at 3.66ghz (366x10) with 1.42 vcore

byt anything above this I struggle to get any stability at all
even going to a 8 or 9 multiplier as long as it is 3.6ghx or below I am fine ,

anything higher reboots are us I have been doing this for 2 weeks and I am a tad miffed now

That is why he said "usually" instead of "it will need" 1.xx volts.

He based it off of what he saw to be to average amount for 3.6 GHz.
