This will be the only "negative" I'll say in public about Stanford and "their" point system. I think they play games with it... They did it back with the 21XX series of Gromac WU's... Low points for time to take to complete e.g. 356 -408 points for 4.5 days of work. They've done it again with the recent versions of SMP WU's. I don't buy their "excuse" or logic for how they determine those points. Something seems way off to me or somebody does not know how to calculate averages....
Now they have these GPU2 WU's, going at ridiculous points per day... Go figure?? I think they manipulate the points to get people to fold for or on certain WU's... Those are my two cents...
And I agree with you whole heartedly. The current point structure for SMP's is bad, really bad... And a lot of folks are complaining once again on this site and Stanford's web site, just like a couple of years ago... They need to be more consistent in my book... If a 1,760 point WU can be completed in one day or less on a Quad, then a 1,920 WU that takes almost two days on the same rig should reflect 3,520 points - not the bogus 1,920 they've given it....
In the meantime, hang in there! :-)
